Providenciales, or "Provo" as it is known, is the most developed of the islands in Turks and Caicos with a population something over 6,000. Found on the west side of the islands Provo offers all modern conveniences, and is surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches. The most mature of the islands, it is still a destination for those who want to escape and relax.

Communications are excellent, due to the completion of the airport in 1984, which is capable of dealing with large planes. There are scheduled flights twice daily to and from the US and weekly connecting the UK, as well as frequent flights to and from other islands and surrounding countries such as Jamaica.
