Picturesque views around Langstone

 

The area is popular with artists, photographers and sightseers. The two harbours, Chichester and Langstone, meet at the road bridge which links Hayling Island to the mainland. This carried a toll until the 1960's.

 

The Langstone Village Fete takes place this year on June 2nd.

Note that the spelling of "Langston" was generally used in most matters relating to the railway, including the sign at Langston Halt station. The more usual modern spelling is Langstone, as in Langstone High Street.
